How the diverter works:

The diverter is a straightforward switching mechanism — turn it one way and water flows to the overhead rose for a rainfall shower experience, turn it the other and flow redirects to the handshower for targeted rinsing, hair washing or cleaning the shower enclosure. Both functions share the same rail and the same WELS 3-star, 9L/min rated flow.

Why exposed installation?

Exposed shower sets run all pipework on the surface of the wall rather than behind tiles. This makes them significantly easier and cheaper to install than concealed systems — no waterproofing penetrations, no in-wall components, no rough-in required. For renovations where opening walls is impractical, or for bathrooms where the exposed pipework is a deliberate design feature, this is the practical and aesthetic choice.

Build and finish:

Built from solid brass and made in Australia, the full set is available in all 22 Brodware finishes including the proprietary inFinium PVD range. The knurled lever detail — the defining characteristic of the Yokato collection — is consistent across all components in the set, giving a cohesive industrial-minimalist result. PVD finishes are particularly recommended for shower environments given their superior resistance to water, humidity and daily contact.

This shower set is designed to be used with the Brodware Yokato Wall Mixer (35mm) — the 35mm cartridge provides the flow rate needed to supply both the overhead rose and the diverter function effectively.
